Here we set out our vision for the Green Innovation Corridor: a game-changing new innovation district located in the city of Wolverhampton.
With a focus on green construction, computing and engineering, Wolverhampton’s Green Innovation Corridor will turbocharge the West Midlands and UK’s transition to net zero. It will foster an ecosystem of innovative businesses, entrepreneurs and academics, with access to our distinctive R&D and skills offer.

We set out:
- Our vision and ambition for the Green Innovation Corridor
- The opportunity for the private sector
- How we want to work with you – and what we can offer
- Why Wolverhampton?
We are looking for the private sector to join our partnership – working with us to bring the Green Innovation Corridor vision to life. You will be joining two organisations that have an extensive track record of working together with developers and investors to deliver transformative projects:
- City of Wolverhampton Council
- University of Wolverhampton

There are a range of opportunities for the private sector to engage with the Green Innovation Corridor. We want to talk to prospective partners to explore:
- Opportunities to purchase sites and assets within the Corridor for development and redevelopment – as a developer, owner- occupier or to secure future tenants
- Partnering with us to redevelop all, or parts of, the Corridor, to attract major investment and curate a distinctive innovation district
The vision for the Green Innovation Corridor has evolved significantly, and we are excited to share these plans with you. We very much look forward to talking to likeminded developers and investors looking to learn more.
